Newsletter Guidelines
May 25th, 2006Redwood Ramblers Toastmasters encourages articles from members for our newsletter!
- 250-1500 words in length.
- Deadline: Last Wednesday of the month
- Publication date: First Wednesday of the month
Suggested topics to cover in an article:
- Reviews of speeches you’ve enjoyed
- Book reviews for public speaking
- Additional information on a speech you gave
- Public speaking techniques for improvement
- Personal perspective on your Toastmasters or speaking experiences
- Announcements of opportunities for leadership
- General announcements relating to public speaking
Not sure if it’s appropriate? Pitch your idea and see if it “sings!”
Photos and artwork guidelines:
- We love pictures!
- Member or speaker profile articles should have a photograph
- Artwork must be taken by you or you must have the photographer’s permission to use it. In writing.
- Photos must be JPEG format, no smaller than 150 dpi resolution. If in doubt, send me the picture and I’ll crop and resize it.
