Benjamin Yoskovitz presents 5 Phrases You Never Want To Hear In A Presentation posted at Instigator Blog, saying, “A list of 5 phrases you never want to hear during a presentation. A bit tongue-in-cheek and funny, but it’s still important to perfect your presentations as much as possible.”
That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of carnival of public speaking by May 14 using ourcarnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.
- John Cowan (see email address above) is this week’s Toastmaster. IF YOUR NAME IS ON THE LIST BELOW, send an email to let the Toastmaster know whether or not you will be at the meeting. –<<>>
- SPEAKERS – The TM needs to know the TITLE and the MANUAL NAME & NUMBER of your speech ASAP. The TM will also need to have introductory information for you. (Don’t do your OWN introduction. Let the TM do it for you.)
–When you are TABLE TOPICS MASTER, write down the names and main point of each person doing table topics so you can give them for the vote. Keep your intro SHORT—don’t give a speech.
- Invite a friend, neighbor, confrère or colleague to our meetings.

–In a couple of weeks, we will start, on a trial basis, a “1-minute Toastmaster” feature to replace the “Thought of the Day.” The presenter will give a 1-2 minute talk on some aspect of Toastmasters that is either new or may be new to you or to reinforce a part of the program. Stay tuned. If you’d like to talk on something specific, put it on the sign-up sheet.
- Invite a friend, neighbor, sibling or colleague to our meetings.
