- Lawrence < > is this week’s Toastmaster. PLEASE send an email to let him know if you will be at the meeting.
- This week we’ll have a Table Topics marathon—the topic will be The Future, and John Cowan will be leading the marathon. We’ll make up the rules as we go along. (Actually John has some “good” ideas.)
- The following week (2/14) is our “International Speech Contest”, and Stephanie and Shawn will be vying for the high honors and glory. We’ll vote for the “best speaker” and conduct a round robin evaluation. Let Lawrence know it you are interested in being the third contestant in this 5-7 min. speech event.
- The Area level contests (for both North and South Santa Cruz County clubs) are in the early evening of March 22 at Aptos Academy. I encourage everyone to attend—as a contestant, contest official, or observer—especially if you’ve never attended a higher level contest before.
- Invite a friend, neighbor or co-worker to the meeting.
