Hello–
- This week’s Toastmaster is Lawrence. Please send an email to let the Toastmaster know if you will be at the meeting and fulfilling your duties.
- On March 7 we’ll have a special guest speaker–Richard Stockton. You can also see him perform his comedy act at Kuumbwa Jazz Center on March 9, but for us he’ll talk about how to use humor to enhance your presentations and get over your fears.
- The Area contests will be March 22 at Aptos Academy. Help support our members who will be speaking – Stephanie and Melanie. (And volunteer as a ballot counter or timer or judge). It’s fun too.
- Please check each week’s schedule carefully. Frequently there are changes, and sometimes you’ll have TWO jobs at ONE meeting. (Do the math.)
- Invite a friend, neighbor, amanuensis or co-worker to our meetings.

Here are the Upcoming Redwood Ramblers Toastmasters Meetings and Roles!
- Since our club barely has enough members to fill all the jobs at each meeting it is important that EVERYONE email the Toastmaster before the meeting so the TM can write up the agenda.
- Please send an email to let the Toastmaster know if you will be at the meeting every week. When you are the Toastmaster, you know the panicky feeling you get when, on Tuesday evening, you haven’t heard from all the players, especially the speakers. So be kind.
- Thank you all for participating in our International Speech and Table Topics contests the last couple of weeks, and special congratulations to all who spoke. In August we’ll have our Evaluation and Humorous speech contests. Think about participating.
- The Area level (Santa Cruz County) contests will take place March 22 at Aptos Academy. Please attend and help support our members who will be competing – Stephanie and Melanie. (And volunteer as a ballot counter or timer or judge) — especially if you’ve never attended a higher level contest before.
- Invite a friend, neighbor or co-worker to our meetings! Remember, our meetings are open to the public, and anyone is welcome to visit as a guest.

- This week we’ll have our International Speech contest . I have attached a suggested score sheet for the contest. You might want to look it over to see what to look for in a good speech. (I’ll bring hard copies.) We’ll all vote and we will all give oral evaluations of the speakers right after they talk.
- The Area level contests (for both North and South Santa Cruz County clubs) are in the early evening of March 22 at Aptos Academy. Please set aside time to attend the contests – you won’t regret it — especially if you’ve never attended a higher level contest before.
- Invite a friend, neighbor or co-worker to the meeting.
